Six Deadbeat Parents Arrested During Overnight Raid

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested six deadbeat parents during an overnight raid Wednesday, officials announced.

The six parents, who collectively have nine children and owe more than $59,000 in child support, were arrested during the sweep and are awaiting a hearing.

A dozen county sheriff’s office deputies were deployed to several areas in the county at 1 a.m. with a list of 31 active warrant defendants, who collectively owed $395,117.75 to 60 children.

Officials are asking those with outstanding warrants to come forward. They are also seeking the public’s help to provide information on the location of these parents. An anonymous tip can be submitted via an online form by clicking here.

“As always, I urge parents who have outstanding warrants for child support payments to come into our office to resolve their cases,” said Sheriff Russell Bono. “We will continue our steady focus on making sure that county kids get their child support.” 

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said it is adding social media tools to its arsenal to help find deadbeat parents. Wanted defendants will now be highlighted on the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Facebook and Twitter pages, officials said Wednesday. 

Parents with outstanding warrants for failure to pay child support include:

• James Kornegay, last known address in Norristown, owes $44, 894 for two children
• Marquis Robinson, last known address in Norristown, owes $27,158 for four children
• Rebecca Baker, last known address in Horsham, owes $23,922 for one child
• Whitney Brazzle, last known address in Norristown, owes $23,804 for one child
