Let it Snow!!!!

We walked outside to see if it was cold and if a coat was needed. Noah my 5 year old looked up at me and said that he could see his breath when he ran back and forth from the truck to the car. Gabie my 4 year old, touched the snow and look at it and asked if it was ice-cream. I told him no, and that it was rain that became really cold and turned hard and that's what we call snow. Noah overheard me and said "mommy your lying when it rains you said God was crying". So mom if this is rain then Gods tears turned hard and that cant happen! I smiled for the first time in a long time. After that, both boys started playing and running around in the snow. I looked at all the Christmas lights in the homes on my block and thought if people really knew how our family had 3 kids less this year. But no one said nothing. The boys played. Threw snow at each other, ate the snow and wanted to put snow down each others pants. I looked at my four children and smiled that they still see the world, so pure and love everyone in there lives. How they never have to fear there mother or father hurting them. I want to hold this moment in my mind for ever.
