Local Vietnam Veterans Honored
Many Vietnam Veterans were honored last night in Pottstown during a “Welcome Home” celebration sponsored by the Art Fusion art gallery on High Street. Four of our chapter members Charlie Becker, Glen Miller, William Anthony Pinkerton (aka Pinky) and Buck Appel were on hand to participate in the event. Some of the participants in the ceremony included many of the Pottstown dignitaries along with the Junior Air Force ROTC Honor Guard, and the Warrior’s Watch motorcycle club. The Art Fusion Art gallery curator Cathy Paretti deserves a great big “Thank You” from all the Vietnam Veterans for taking the time and energy to put this all together. Cathy spent thousands of hours on this project, interviewing veterans for their personal stories and presenting the displays. The event was featured on the front page of the Pottstown Mercury.
