Citizen's Bank in Giant on Knapp Road in Montgomery was robbed of more than $1,200 Thursday, but the alleged robber from New Jersey was arrested by Towamencin Township Police.
A Hamilton, New Jersey man allegedly made off with more than $1,200 from the Citizen's Bank in Giant Food Store in Montgomery Township Thursday afternoon, but was nabbed by Towamencin Township Police 15 minutes later. The bank was last robbed March 6. Freddie Feliciano, 38, faces charges of robbery, terroristic threats, theft and other related offenses in Montgomeryville District Court. He remains incarcerated following arraignment by District Judge Rebar, who set bail at $100,000 cash, according to court records. A preliminary hearing is set for May 29. Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has announced eight arrests in connection with Operation "Weed Whacker," which sought to bring down a multimillion-dollar marijuana trafficking ring. A man conned an employee of Rita's Water Ice and stole a tip cup on May 7, Lansdale Police said. The tip cup contained about $15 in cash and coins, police said. The employee told police that at 8:50 p.m. May 7, a black male in his 30s approached the window service counter at the Rita's on North Broad Street, police said. The man, who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and had a few days' growth of facial hair, asked the teenager for a free sample of water ice, police said. Matthew Royer, who disappeared after leaving the University of Rhode Island en route to his Skippack home, is safe, police say.
The Pennsylvania State Police are reporting that Matthew Royer, who vanished on his way home to Skippack from the Univeristy of Rhode Island on Thursday night, has been found, unharmed. According to reports from 6ABC, he was found in North Carolina. Police are now considering the case to be closed, and say that it is a private, family matter.
