Morgan Properties, Forge Gate Admit Wrongdoing in Removing Residents' Fences, Trees
A contractor erred in removing fences and trees on the properties of residents along Woodlawn Drive, which is located behind Forge Gate Apartments. An official from owner Morgan Properties said there are no plans for development.
A representative from Morgan Properties, the parent company of Forge Gate Apartments at 1141 Snyder Road in Towamencin, admitted at the Towamencin Township meeting Wednesday night that the company was wrong in removing the fences and trees of neighbors along Woodlawn Drive.
Steve Waters, senior vice president of Morgan Properties, admitted Forge Gate Apartments made a "major mistake" and was nearly complete in replacing the removed fencing with new fencing, per The Reporter. About 50 trees and two fences were taken down along with numerous wooded area on Forge Gate Apartments' property that could be encroached by neighbors and apartment residents, per the article.
The removal of woods was to complete a survey of the property line, Waters told the township Wednesday.
Waters told the township and residents that there were no plans to develop between the apartments and a semi-circular property line.
