No Ice Skating This Year in Souderton
The rink was not used for the past two winters due to warmer than usual conditions.
Montgomery News reports that a portable outdoor ice skating rink purchased by Souderton Borough two winters ago for its 125th anniversary will not be put into use this year.
Souderton's public works director said it would be tough to set up the rink at Souderton Community Park. The past two winters were too warm and the current winter made it almost impossible to set up.
There is talk of moving the ice rink to a park near Lawn Avenue next year.
