North Wales Road in Worcester Closed Tuesday Night

The closure is for crews to place concrete on the northbound and southbound decks of a bridge.

In its ongoing reconstruction and widening of I-476 between Mid-County and Berks Road, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will close North Wales Road in Worcester between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The roadway will be closed between Morris Road and Township Line Road.

Crews will be placing concrete on the northbound and southbound decks of an overhead bridge, according to PTC.

Traffic will be detoured as follows:  

  • Westbound: Turn left on Morris Road, right on DeKalb Pike, right on Swede Road and right on W. Township Line Road.
  • Eastbound: Turn right on W. Township Line Road, left on Swede Road, left on DeKalb Pike and left on Morris Road.

Local access on North Wales Road will be available. No vehicles or pedestrians will be allowed under the bridge during the closure.
