Raffle Items, Donations Sought for Cancer Benefit for Hatfield Man

A beef and beer fundraiser takes place Friday evening in Lansdale for a local man diagnosed with cancer for the second time

Area businesses have contributed greatly for a cancer benefit this Friday evening for a Hatfield native diagnosed with cancer for the second time in 11 years.

However, more raffle items and donations are still being accepted for the event.

The benefit seeks to help cover the medical costs for Hatfield native and 1998 North Penn High School graduate Jason Heffner. Heffner, an amateur filmmaker who currently resides in the Juniata section of Philadelphia, is battling cancer without medical insurance.

The event runs 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 30 in the upstairs ballroom of Third and Walnut Bar and Lounge in Lansdale.

There will be a 50/50 drawing and a raffle with gift baskets.
