UPDATE: One Killed in Hilltown Township 3-Car Crash

The driver of a Scion tC was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash at Schoolhouse Road and Bethlehem Pike Tuesday afternoon. Identification of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

A man was killed in a Tuesday afternoon three-car accident on Bethlehem Pike near Schoolhouse Road in Hilltown Township, after his black Scion tC collided with a pickup truck and slammed into an Allied Waste trash truck.
Hilltown Township Police said a Mazda pickup truck was southbound on Bethlehem Pike, with the Scion behind it.
As the pickup attempted a right turn into a driveway, it was hit from behind by the Scion, police said.
The Scion then veered across the center left turn lane and into the northbound lane of Bethlehem Pike, where it hit the Mack trash truck, police said.
The impact caused the Scion to move in the opposite direction, coming to rest north of the Schoolhouse Road intersection, police said.
Rescue crews pulled the victim from the back of the Scion and placed him on the roadway, where they initiated resuscitation procedures
A pink sheet was placed over the body to hide the deceased from the public. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The identification of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries, police said.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Hilltown Police, Souderton Community Ambulance, Souderton Perseverance Fire Co. and Telford Fire Co. responded to the scene.
Bethlehem Pike was closed from Route 113 to Reliance Road.
