Prism Beer Fizzing to Top of PHL17 'Philly HOT LIST'

The Upper Gwynedd brewery is competing for 'Best Brewpub' in the area.

In under an hour, Prism Brewing Co. went from fifth to second place.
There are 38 days left of voting, and thus far, the Upper Gwynedd business is nearing the top of PHL17's "Philly HOT LIST" for best brewpub.
It is competing against the likes of Appalachian Brewing Co. in Collegeville, Forest & Main in Ambler, and Nodding Head in Philadelphia.

Voting ends September 6. More than 6,200 local businesses are competing in various categories.
Prism has received more than 40 votes and 13 "tips," as of Tuesday evening. 
Of the tips: "The people, staff, beer and location are all rockin!" "Shady Blonde is a must try & really can't go wrong with any of their selection. Worth the drive out to the Burbs!!" and "Because it is. It is as simple as that."
The brewing company is owned by North Penn alum Rob DeMaria. It hosts a North Penn Alumni Association free "recollection" networking event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
