Democrats Beat GOP in Ward Three in Lansdale Council Race

Liz Troy and Leon Angelichio will unofficially be new councilors come January on Lansdale Borough Council.

Democrats Leon Angelichio and Liz Troy have unofficially beaten Republicans Pete Schmitt and Walter "Cory" Brown III in the Ward Three Lansdale Borough Council race, per Montgomery County election results.
Troy unofficially garnered 491 votes and Angelichio 480 votes over Schmitt's 389 votes and Brown's 405 votes.
Angelichio and Troy were endorsed by the controversial Democratic Political Action Committee Friends of Lansdale.
The two Democrats will fulfill the seats vacated by Council President Matt West and Councilman Dan Dunigan. West was not seeking re-election and Dunigan was ousted in the Republican Primary.
