R/T Tuning Hosts Paul Walker Charity Movie Screening Fundraiser Sunday

R/T Tuning in Lansdale is selling tickets to two screenings of 'The Fast and The Furious' on Sunday at Frank Theatres in Montgomeryville. All proceeds go to Reach Out Worldwide.

A Lansdale automotive repair shop is giving back to Paul Walker's charity through the showing of the first Fast and the Furious franchise film Sunday at Frank Theatres in Montgomeryville.
R/T Tuning is holding a charity screening of the first film, "The Fast and The Furious," with all proceeds going to Paul Walker's charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
Showings are at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
R/T Tuning hopes to raise $10,000 with the event.
"This movie served as a touchstone, inspiring many to become part of the aftermarket performance industry and we think this would be a great way to honor the memory of a great member of the tuning community and recognize his work as both an actor and humanitarian," said R/T Tuning manager James Coyne.
Tickets are in the form of a $20 donation. Tickets can be purchased online at this link.
Coyne said the event is limited to 300 tickets per showing. Those attending are asked to park in the Frank Theatres lot closest to the intersection of North Wales Road and Montgomery Glen Drive.
"If we, as a community, can pull this off and sell out both shows, not only will we have a great time doing it, but we can honor the memory of Paul Walker and raise over $10,000 for the charity," Coyne said.
According to Coyne, he said the fundraiser is a great way to remember Walker, as there are many cruises and meets being organized in his memory.
"We selected this location because several of us here at R/T saw this very same movie in this location the night it premiered back in 2001 when our shop was still just a idea," he said. "This is our chance to show what the tuning community is all about."
