The Rev. Joseph D. Bowen, 83, died Nov. 17 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale of a heart attack, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Bowen was pastor emeritus of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Abington.
The parish's elementary school addition is named in his honor. Bowen was appointed pastor at the Abington church in 1989, per the tribute.
