Alleged Hatfield Lukoil Armed Robber Turns Himself In

Donovian Walker, 23, of Lansdale, faces 12 criminal offenses for allegedly robbing the Lukoil at Broad Street and Cowpath Road in Hatfield in April.

Donovian Walker, 23, is the man police said robbed the Lukoil at 1900 North Broad Street in Hatfield at gunpoint and assaulted a clerk on the morning of April 22, and Walker has now turned himself in to Hatfield Township Police on armed robbery charges.

Police said Walker, of Lansdale, turned himself in on Wednesday, and he was arraigned by District Judge Jay Friedenberg.

Walker’s bail was set at $100,000 cash.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 12 at 9 a.m. before District Judge Andrea Duffy in Montgomeryville District Court.

Walker is charged with 12 criminal offenses: first-degree felony robbery with threat of immediate serious injury, first degree felony robbery-committing or threatening immediately to commit any felony of the first or second degree, second-degree felony robbery-inflicting or threatening another with fear of immediate bodily injury, third-degree felony robbery-taking property by force, felony aggravated assault, two counts of misdemeanor theft, two counts of misdemeanor receiving stolen property, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

Officers responded at 9:40 a.m. April 22 to the gas station for a report of an armed robbery.

Police said a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thid build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a gray and white cloth over his face, entered the gas station, pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money and cigarettes.

After the robber received the money and cigarettes, he fled on foot west toward Cowpath Road, police said.
