Alleged Souderton Vandal Causes Ruckus at College

Dennis Alesna, 31, allegedly vandalized the bookstore at Montgomery County Community College after items were refused for a refund.

Whitpain Township Police said a Souderton man allegedly pushed over a gift card rack and grabbed an employee at Montgomery County Community College's bookstore when he was refused a refund.

Polcie said Dennis Alesna, 31, of the unit block of West Walnut Street, allegedly caused a disturbance around 12:52 p.m. Monday.

Police were called to the bookstore, where they were told Alesna returned three items for a refund, police said. When two of the items were refused a refund, Alesna allegedly became enraged, grabbed his books and pushed over a circular gift card rack as he left the store, police said.

About 10 minutes later, Alesna returned and continued to argue, police said. He then allegedly grabbed one of the employees, police said.

The employee did not want to press charges against Alesna, police said.

Alesna was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, police said.
