A rundown of recent arrests and violations

Disorderly Conduct

Michael Franklin, 20, of the 300 block of Lower Valley Road, Montgomery Township, was cited Dec. 24 for disorderly conduct for possessing drug paraphernalia, Whitpain Township Police said.

On Dec. 24, at 4:11 a.m., an officer stopped three subjects on foot in the driveway of a home in the Whitpain Hills Community. During the stop, Franklin admitted to having a marijuana pipe in his pocket, police said.

The officer took custody of the pipe, police said.

Public Drunkenness

Andrew Clary, 22, of the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, North Wales, was cited Dec. 13 for public drunkenness at 7:48 p.m., police said.

Ambler Borough Police responded to the area of Mattison Avenue and Poplar Street for a report of an intoxicated subject.

Clary was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital by Ambler Ambulance for treatment of a forehead laceration, police said.

Disorderly Conduct

Kimberly Pollock, 23, of the 1300 block of Lakeview Drive, Lansdale, was cited for disorderly conduct Dec. 7 by Whitpain Township Police.

At 5:42 p.m. Dec. 7, police responded to the 1100 block of Arch Street, Whitpain, for a report of a vehicle accident.

During the investigation, one of the officers noticed the odor of marijuana coming from one of the cars involved in the accident, police said.

The driver, Pollock, admitted there was a small amount of marijuana in her car, police said.

Hit and Run

Ambler Borough Police said a Noth Wales resident reported on Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. that her vehicle was struck while parked in the 200 block of S. Chestnut Street.

The driver’s side of the vehicle sustained a large scrape down the length of the car, police said.

Public Drunkenness

James Mulbah, 29, of the unit block of Third Street, Lansdale, was arrested Nov. 21 at 11:13 p.m. in the 200 block of Oak Street in Whitpain Township, where he was found walking down the middle of street while intoxicated, police said.

Mulbah was later released to his mother, police said.

Public Drunkenness

Young S. Kim, 55, of the 1300 block of Landis Drive, Montgomery Township, was arrested Nov. 20 for public drunkenness by Whitpain Township Police.

At 1:44 a.m. Nov. 20, an officer on patrol located an occupied tan minivan in the middle of the parking lot at the Sae Han Oriental Market, 1349 Township Line Road.

When the officer checked the occupant, he found Kim intoxicated, police said.

Kim was later released, police said.

Drug Violation

Joseph Sharon, 43, of the 3000 block of Conrad Way, Worcester, was taken into custody on Nov. 9 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and resisting arrest, according to Whitpain Township Police.

On Nov. 9, at 9:29 p.m., an officer was on foot patrol in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township, when he observed a white Ford pickup truck pull into the rear of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue, police said.

As the officer approached the passenger side of the vehicle, he saw the driver, identified as Sharon, attempt to hide something in his hand and run from the truck, police said.

After a brief foot chase, Sharon was taken into custody and found in possession of cocaine, police said.

Sharon was later transported to Montgomery County Prison on a probation violation and for arraignment, police said.
