Basement Fire Breaks Out at Sumney Forge Shopping Center
The fire was contained to a basement HVAC unit at the Upper Gwynedd shopping center.
Upper Gwynedd Fire Co., Towamencin Vol. Fire Co. and Skippack Fire Co. crews contained a basement blaze that broke out at Sumney Forge Shopping Center at Sumneytown Pike and Valley Forge Road in Upper Gwynedd Tuesday morning.
Preliminary reports showed the fire began in a basement HVAC unit underneath Mario's Dry Cleaning, per The Reporter. There were no injuries and no damage to businesses.
Wawa was evacuated temporarily during the fire.
