$900 Stolen in Blue Dog Pub Burglary Tuesday

About $900 in cash was stolen from a lockbox at the Towamencin Township bar and restaurant in the early morning hours Tuesday. Police believe the burglar or burglars hid inside the Valley Forge Road pub until after closing.

Towamencin Township Police said about $900 in cash was stolen from a lockbox during a burglary at Blue Dog Pub in Towamencin early Tuesday morning.

Police said an alarm activated at 2:38 a.m., following closing of the bar at 850 Valley Forge Road.

There was no forced entry, which police said leads to the possibility that the suspect or suspects hid in the business prior to closing, police said.
