Boy Hit By Car Released from Hospital

Towamencin Police said the driver of the vehicle violated no laws

The 7-year-old boy who was hit by a driver Tuesday morning on Bustard Road has been released from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The child ran into the roadway while walking with an adult, police said.

Police said the driver of the strking vehicle was identified as Kun Lee, 68, of the 500 block of Hagey Place, Collegeville.

Lee did not leave the road or commit a violation, police said. Lee waited at the scene for police after striking the child, police said.

On Tuesday, April 24, at 9:59 a.m., police responded to Bustard Road at Old Morris Road for a report of a male child, age 7, struck by a vehicle that was southbound on Bustard Road, police said.

According to witnesses and evidence, the child was walking with an adult who was pushing a baby stroller southbound on Bustard Road in the grass area adjacent to the roadway, police said.

At some point, the child entered the roadway, where he was struck by Lee's vehicle, police said.

The child was treated at the scene by and flown by PennStar to the hospital for treatment of a head injury, police said.
