Car Stolen on Christmas Eve from Parking Lot

Lansdale Police are searching for a silver 2008 Chevrolet Equinox, with Pennsylvania plate HMF-0871, that was stolen between 10:30 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve from a parking lot near

Police said they were called to 38 Jenkins Ave. parking lot for a report of a stolen auto.

The victim, a 29-year-old male who resides at Main Street Apartments in Towamencin, told police he was visiting his parents at their apartment complex and had parked his SUV in the lot around 8:30 p.m.

At 10:30 p.m., he placed an item in the SUV, police said.

Upon leaving the apartment at 12:15 a.m., he noticed the vehicle was gone, police said.

The Equinox has a golf ball-sized dent near the right rear taillight, police said.

The interior of the vehicle contained a child's car seat, a TomTom GPS unit, a DVD player and baby shades on the rear door windows, police said.
