Drug Destruction: Montgomery Township Police's Drug Take-Back Event

Montgomery Township Police and the DEA are collaborating to collect unwanted prescription drugs for disposal at Walgreens Oct. 26.

They want an old drug. One that will make you sick.
Montgomery Township Police will be collecting expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs for disposal as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 26.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., citizens can bring said drugs to the Walgreens at 710 North Wales Road at Route 309 in Montgomery Township.
It is part of the sixth National Take-Back Initiative, spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The DEA is collaborating with state and low law enforcement agencies to remove the unwanted controlled substances from peoples' medicine cabinets.
The one-day event is meant to bring awareness to substance abuse. substance abuse.  There is also a community aspect to the day: police, business owners and individuals are coming together to offer a safe collection site for destruction of the drugs.
