Five Injured in Route 309 Accident Friday

The accident occurred at Lenhart Road and Route 309, involving a Ford van and Toyota Camry.

Five people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries following a two-car accident Friday afternoon at Route 309 and Lenhart Road in Hatfield Township.
The Intelligencer reports a Ford van and a Toyota Camry collided at the intersection in the southbound lanes of Route 309. Montgomery County police radio reported the van T-boned the car and pushed it into a utility pole.
One driver was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital and the other driver was not injured, police said.
One passenger was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, two other passengers were taken to Lansdale Hospital and a fourth passenger was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
