Four Adults, One Youth Injured in Route 202 Parkway Crash Sunday

The two-vehicle accident occurred Sunday afternoon on Route 202 Parkway, between Horsham Road and County Line Road in Montgomery Township.

Four adults and one 12-year-old youth were injured and transported to regional hospitals following a two-vehicle crash Sunday on the Route 202 Parkway in Montgomery Township.

On Sunday, May 26, at 3:37 p.m., Montgomery Township Police officers responded to the accient on the parkway, between Horsham Road and County Line Road.

Police said a southbound 2003 Saturn LW200 van, driven by Jorge Maldonado, 57, of W. Moreland Avenue, Hatboro, collided with a northbound 2001 Ford Escape SUV, driven by Deborah Seifert, 66, of Colonial Heritage Park, Doylestown.

Maldonado was extricated from his vehicle and transported by PennStar Medevac helicopter to University of Pennsylvania Hospital for treatment, police said.

Seifert was extricated from her Ford SUV and transported to Hahnemann University Hospital by Mid-Atlantic Medevac helicopter, police said.

Also injured in Seifert's vehicle was Kristy Seifert, 31, of the same address in Doylestown, police said. She was taken by Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Landsale to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment, police said.

Also a passenger in Seifert's Ford Escape was Dorothy Rieco, 86, of Nevermore Circle, Montgomery Township. Rieco was taken by JeffStat Medevac helicopter to Abington Memorial Hospital, police said.

A 12-year-old youth, also a passenger in the Ford Escape, was taken by PennStar Medevac helicopter to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, police said, for injuries suffered in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Montgomery Township Police Department’s Highway Safety Unit.
