Hatfield Man Avoids Jail Time in Meth Ring Guilty Plea

Another player in the Montgomery County methamphetamine trafficking operation has been sentenced in Montgomery County court Monday.
Jeffrey M. Penna, 42, of the 1200 block of Cabin Road, Hatfield, was sentenced to seven years’ probation for pleading guilty to numerous felony counts of possession with intent to distribute meth between December 2011 and March 2012, according to Carl Hessler Jr. of Journal Register.

According to the article, Jeffrey Penna will be “under court supervision” for 10 years, and would be “locked up immediately” on a probation or parole violation. Penna could get prison time if he violates his sentence, according to Hessler.
All in all, the Pennas were two of 32 people arrested and charged in the drug ring.

Troy Dudas, 36, of Limerick, had already pleaded guilty to running a corrupt drug organization and meth possession and distribution charges.
Francesco “Frank” Messina, 43, of the 600 block of Garfield Avenue, Upper Gwynedd, has also pleaded guilty to running a corrupt drug organization and numerous felony drug possession charges.
Both Messina and Dudas await sentencing.
