Hatfield Man Wanted for Attempted Murder Throat Slashing Turns Himself In

Thomas Troy Young, 49, of Wheatfield Circle, allegedly slashed the throat of his wife in their home on March 10 and fled the scene. Bail was set at $1 million. He is charged with attempted murder.

HATFIELD, PA — The Hatfield man wanted on attempted murder charges in the throat slashing of his wife has turned himself has turned himself in to police—and remains incarcerated at Montgomery County prison on $1 million bail.

Thomas Troy Young, 49, of the 300 block of Wheatfield Circle, contacted and turned himself in to Hatfield Township Police on March 15, police said.

Young was arraigned before District Judge Harry Nesbitt and bail was set at $1 million cash, police said.

A preliminary hearing is set for March 25 at 10:30 a.m. before District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser in Souderton.

Due to her injuries, she was transported via PennStar to the Hopsital of the University of Pennsylvania for medical treatment, police said.

Hatfield Township Police was assisted in its search for Young by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau
