Lansdale Woman Killed in Head-On Crash in New Hanover

Kelly Eisenhart, 28, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A Lansdale woman died this morning on Swamp Pike in New Hanover following a head-on collision.

Kelly Eisenhart, 28, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on police arrival, police said.

The crash occurred around 7:32 a.m. on Swamp Pike near Rosenberry Road.

Police said Eisenhart was driving a 2006 Hyundai Elantra westbound on Swamp Pike.

A preliminary investigation indicates Eisenhart crossed over into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Dale McMillen, 45, of Gilbertsville, police said.

Eisenhart died at the scene.

McMillen was taken by helicopter to Lehigh Valley Trauma Center for treatment, police said.

The scene was reconstructed by New Hanover Township Police Officer Dennis Psota. The investigation is ongoing.

Police were assisted at the scene by Douglass Township (Montgomery County) and Limerick Township Police, as well as New Hanover Township Fire Company and Gilbertsville and Goodwill ambulance. 

By 3 p.m., Eisenhart's Facebook page—where she is listed as Kelly Rae Eisenhart-Schmittinger, along with photos of her marriage—had many friends and family posting condolences to Eisenhart's family and their memories of her.

"Even though ur in heaven, you will stil (sic) make me laugh!" wrote Sarah Derstein. "So many memories made."

"Can't believe it," wrote Ray Pouncy. "It's been a while, but you'll never be forgotten."

"RIP Kelly," wrote Shannon McNally. "I will miss you and our talks!"
