Man Encounters Drunk, Bloody Intruder Named 'Bill' in His Towamencin Home

Towamencin Township Police did not locate the suspicious intruder, who entered a home on Winding Road the night of May 21.

A homeowner on the 1100 block of Winding Road, Towamencin, encountered a drunk, bloody, beaten-up man named “Bill” inside his home on May 21, according to Towamencin Township Police.

Police said the intruder was not found after he fled the residence.

Officers responded to a report that an intruder had entered the home at 9:40 p.m. on May 21.

The homeowner heard his front door open, and initially believed it was a family member returning home from work, police said.

The homeowner walked to the lower level of his home and encountered the stranger, police said.

The man was visibly intoxicated, police said. He had a significant amount of blood on his face, consistent with an assault, police said.

The intruder identified himself as “Bill,” police said. He is described as a white male in his early 20s, wearing a white shirt and dirty blue jeans, police said.

The homeowner told the man to leave the home, and reached for his phone to call police, police said.

The intruder ran out of the home and off the property, retrieving a tan backpack next to the front porch along the way, police said.

Police searched the area, but did not find the man.

Towamencin Township Police were assisted at the scene by Lansdale Borough Police and Montgomery Township K9.
