Schwenckfeld Manor Visitor ODs on Suspected Heroin, Police Say

Mark Leedom, 51, no fixed address, was allegedly found lying on the floor inside an apartment at the Towamencin Township senior community.

A man with no fixed address who was visiting a woman at Schwenckfeld Manor allegedly overdosed on suspected heroin Tuesday and was eventually sent to Montgomery County prison on a probation violation detainer, police said.
At 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, Towamencin Township Police were dispatched to an apartment at the senior living community at 1290 Allentown Road for a reported overdose.
Once inside the apartment, police found Mark Leedom, 51, lying on his back on the floor in the bathroom doorway, police said.
The resident told police that she went to bed early and left Leedom, a visitor and not a resident, in the living room by himself, police said.
She went to get a drink of water around 1:30 a.m. and saw him on the floor, police said.
The resident suspected a heroin overdose because she found syringes and a pipe, police said. The items were turned over to police.
Police found four packets of suspected heroin allegedly on Leedom, police said.
Leedom was taken to Lansdale Hospital and later released to police custody. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
