Hatfield Police searching for Hispanic male who fled on Liberty Bell walking trail

Police said a Hispanic male stabbed a man multiple times on the Liberty Bell walking trail in Hatfield Borough in an armed robbery Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect is still on the loose, according to police.

At around 3:29 p.m. Tuesday, Hatfield Township Police discovered a 28-year-old man bleeding from multiple stab wounds near the Hatfield Motel on the 400 block of South Main Street, police said.

The victim told police he was on the walking trail between South Main Street and West Vine Street, when a Hispanic male approached him and said, "Give me it all," police said.

When the victim told the suspect he did not have anything, the male stabbed the victim before fleeing south on foot, police said.

The victim was treated on scene by Volunteer Medical Service Corps and subsequently flown by PennStar to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, police said.

Hatfield Township Police conducted a search of the area with the help from Quakertown Police Department and its K-9 officer. The suspect was not located, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, thin build, short-boxed black hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
