Giuseppe's, Montella's Owners Want Townhomes, SEPTA Lot at Lenhart and Cowpath

Nearby residents are opposed to the proposed development at the intersection in Hatfield Township. A zoning change to a new transit-oriented district would need to occur first before any development is approved.

Giuseppe's Pizza and Montella's Sports Bar owners Sal and Vic Moscariello are proposing a zoning change, a townhome development, an expanded SEPTA lot and a new traffic light at Cowpath and Lenhart roads in Hatfield Township, per The Reporter.
The 8-acre parcel abuts the Fortuna SEPTA station and the Moscariellos want a "transportation-oriented townhome" development by W.B. Homes and a new 105-space SEPTA parking lot, per the report.
The property would be buffered from nearby Beaven Way, per the report.
A zoning change would create a new transit-oriented district in the township. If that is approved by township commissioners, then the project moves on to conditional use application and approval and finally land development approval.
