Montgomery Twp. Road Closures

A look at roads closed in Montgomery Township in the wake of Hurricane Sandy

Montgomery Township Director of Fire Services Rick Lesniak released a list of closed roads in the township Tuesday morning.

The following roads are closed in Montgomery Township:

  • Stump Road and Gwynedd Lea – There are wires across the roadway.  Cones have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling the roadway. 
  • Knapp Road and Lexington Drive – There are trees and wires across roadway.  Barricades have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling the roadway. 
  • Line Street between Bonnie and Lenape – There are trees and wires across the roadway.  Cones have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling the roadway. 
  • 1800 block Line Street – Wires are across the roadway.  Cones and barricades have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling the roadway. 
  • Lansdale Ave. at Pecan Drive – A tree is resting on wires blocking the northbound lane.  Cones have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling the roadway. 
  • 1100 block Vilsmeier Road – A large tree is blocking the roadway.  
  • 100 block Gwynmont Drive – Trees are blocking the roadway. 
  • Bell Run Blvd and Rolling Hill Drive – Trees are blocking the roadway.
  • Kenas Road and Westminster Drive – Tree partially blocking the roadway.

Montgomery Township would like motorists to comply with all temporary traffic control devices that block roads with downed trees and wires.

Please do not move cones or barricades

PECO, PennDot and the Montgomery Township Department of Public Works are working hard to open these roadways.
