The North Penn Maidens soccer team was defeated by the Spring-Ford Rams in its season opener Monday in a 2-1 match, per GameTimePA.com.
It was a 1-1 tie going into the second half, but Spring-Ford senior Megan Giannopoulos broke it with a goal, per the report.
North Penn sophomore Kristina Miller scored the lone goal for the Maidens.
Spring-Ford now sits at 4-0-1.
